I am currently working in Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust as a consultant UGI and general surgeon (Fixed-term contract). I am passionate about teaching and training. During my career from the start, I have managed to teach and train thousands of doctors in my home country and be a full instructor in a few international and national courses. I am still actively involved as an active faculty member in the royal college of surgeon courses, including ATLS, CCrISP, BSS, and Basic and Intermediate skills in laparoscopic surgery. I have played a key role in introducing the ATLS and ATOM course in Egypt.
Starting my career during the Arab spring exposed me to extensive experience in penetrating and blunt trauma. Since I moved to the UK, I have put a lot of effort into improving my skills in minimally invasive surgery, building my research portfolio, and continuing to satisfy my passion for medical education.
During my placements in the UK, I was privileged to have brilliant educational and clinical supervisors and work with very supportive teams who helped me to mirror the UK training program and achieve the appropriate evidence to support my CESR Application.
Hence, my portfolio reflects my active involvement in management and leadership, research, training, and medical education roles. In addition to that, I am competently performing the index procedures in emergency, general and oesophagogastric cancer surgeries.
